When I run a P&L by customer is there a way to show on the report the customer's name? When I run a P&L report for the customer I click on filters and choose name and then choose the name of the customer that I want but when I run the report his name does not show up on the report, just the company name is there someplace else I have to look to choose to get the customer's name to show up? My boss is wanting to see the customer's name on the report not just our company name. Thank you

Thanks for visiting the community, @missymarykay55. I appreciate you for using the filter feature to show the customer's name on the Profit and Loss report.
You're already on the right track. Let me show you how to filter by Customer: Job to achieve your goal. Here's how:

Unfortunately, financial reports in QB are limited in that there are only a few fields from names and other lists (items, accounts, ...) that can be included on the reports.
For summary reports like a P&L, only the customer's list name can be used, the name that appears in the customer center. Other fields like the contact and the FML fields can't be accessed.
Ok I ran a P&L report and did the filter and I have to choose Name as all our jobs have names. I went into the filters chose the name and did a detailed P&L report. On the report it shows Total Income but it doesn't show Total expenses. Each expense is totaled but there is no grand total for all the expenses is there a way to get that grand total of all expenses? It is easy enough to take the total income and subtract the Net Income to get the grand total of expenses but I would think there would be a way to show that on the report at the bottom. Cheryl
Thanks for your prompt response, @missymarykay55.
Currently, we can only view the total for the profit and loss report.
I know it would be advantageous if we can provide a grand total for the total income and net income, and the grand total of the expenses to add on the bottom part of the report. Rest assured, I'm taking note of this one.
