I recently built a PC using components I purchased individually. My purpose is to advertise my business, which is a game room decoration store. The PC has been used in advertisements as well used as my primary office desktop. Which category would I classify it under?
Side note: I also purchased a Nintendo switch to use in my advertising.
The best category is an expense account called something like "Computer Supplies/Equipment " or "Office Equipment." It doesn't matter how you use the computer. The types of expenses that go under Advertising Expense are the expenses for flyers; brochures; social media ads; etc....
