Phone app Android: when setting up a new customer there is not an option for tax "based on location" When using the web site there is an option under additional info

Additionally if I invoice from a browser it pulls based on location. If I invoice from the app it only has a few options that almost look to be pulling from a manual database of sales taxes.

The QuickBooks Online mobile application currently has no option for setting up a new customer for tax based on location. It would be beneficial to have this feature added to the app's current functionalities. For now, you can consider running your payroll using a web browser.

 

Therefore, I recommend sending your suggestions directly to our Product Development Team. They might consider your ideas and include these in future updates to improve customer experience.

 

If you're using an Android, here's how you can do it from the invoice page:

 

  1. In the QBO mobile app, click on Menu.
  2. Choose and open an invoice, then tap the three-dot icon.    
  3. Select Feedback, then enter your product improvement ideas or concerns.
  4. Tap Send Feedback to submit.

 

If you're using an iOS device, please proceed to these steps:

 

  1. Head to the Menu icon.
  2. Choose the All tab.
  3. Select the Request a feature option.
  4. Enter your product improvement ideas or concerns.

 

Alternatively, you can use your mobile device's browser to submit feedback easily. See the steps in this article: How do I submit feedback?
