Prior Period Adjustment

There is a discrepancy between the undistributed profits after the 2022 audit and what is recorded in our books. If we need to adjust the undistributed profits for 2023, how should I do that? Does QuickBooks have a 'Prior Period Adjustment' feature?

Prior Period Adjustment

I'm here to help you get in touch with the right support who will assist you in resolving the discrepancy in your books, Bambi.

The prior adjustment period is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). To fix your financial records, it's a good idea to reach out to your accountant for further assistance. They can guide you on fixing the issue with your undistributed profits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

For more insights on how QBDT handles year-end adjustments, take a look at this reference: Close your books in QuickBooks Desktop.
