Join nowI am trying to remove all accounts (income and expense) line items in the Budget vs. Actual report that are not being used or in the budgeted items. I have been able to do this before but cannot seem to remember how?
All I want to see are the items in the actual budget, not any other listed in the chart of accounts. I have made many of the accounts "inactive" but they still seem to appear.
Any help would be helpful...
Thank you,
James Richardson

I can help you show active items on your report, @jdrichardson.
By utilizing the Show non-zero or active only drop-down, you can show the active items not any other listed in the chart of accounts you see in your Budget vs. Actual P&L report.
Let me show you how:
Alternatively, you can use the Customize button to show specific categories or accounts in the Budget vs. Actual report. All you have to do is scroll sidewards and click the Customize button. Go to the Filter section and choose the accounts or categories in the Account drop-down that you want to see on the report.
These methods will point you to view the right accounts or categories. I'm also adding these articles as your future references about running reports:
