QB Desktop - time zone setting

Does anyone know how to correct the time a report was run in QB Desktop? My computer time is correct. All reports are showing 6 hours earlier.

QB Desktop - time zone setting

It’s great to have you here, @Questions41.

Let me help you with setting up the correct time zone for your reports in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). It’s good to know that you have already checked your computer’s time setting to rectify this one.

QuickBooks Desktop is dependent on the time zone set on your computer. In this, I recommend you alter your computer settings and change them back to the correct time zone. This resolve is to trigger the application to reflect or follow your computer’s desktop settings.

QB Desktop - time zone setting

As I mentioned, I have already verified the correct the time zone. But, I changed it to a different setting and then back to CST again. My computer time is 8:25am and the time zone is set to CST. The QB report I just ran shows the time stamp as 3:25am. Exactly 6 hours off. Screen shot attached.

Thanks--

QB Desktop - time zone setting

Good morning, @Questions41

Thanks for reaching back out and giving some more information about your issue.

Since you've already verified the time zone of your computer and it's still not matching the time on the report, I recommend troubleshooting the QuickBooks application.

First, let's run a repair on the system. Here's how:

  1. Download the QuickBooks Tool Hub
  2. Run Quick Fix my program
  3. Run the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool if that didn't help.

In the end, if the problem persists, let's try perform a clean install on the program.

Feel free to come back if you have any trouble along the way. We're always here to lend a helping hand. Take care!

Thank you for the suggestions, but this did not change the reported time in reports.
