Buy nowThanks for asking us here in the Community today, @jodekirk. When the system is not allowing you to enter transactions or save your work, it could mean a browser-related issue.
This unexpected behavior happens when your browser cache is full of temporary internet files.
We can use a private browser or incognito window to confirm the issue. Here's how:
If this works, go back to your regular browser and start clearing its cache so the system can start fresh. If the issue persists, I'd suggest switching to another supported browser.
I'd also appreciate it if you can share with me the error message you received when trying to re-enter those paychecks.

Good Early Morning,
I am new to this forum and I should have been a little more detailed. the 5 lost pay checks were from July, August, and September. I went to run Q3 taxes tonight and I did not notice the checks had disappeared until I noticed the 941 tax payment was to low. I deleted the tax payment and when I discovered the missing checks, I tried to go back and create them again (Intuit Payroll has lost paychecks in the past, but was able to recreate them again to run the correct payroll), But this new version will not let me create paychecks in the previous quarter even though I have not filed or paid the taxes yet. I have cleared my browsers data and I did start this at the office and tried to finish at home with the no progress. I need to get this new version to allow me to create the paychecks again in the previous quarter so I can get the correct payroll into the Gov. I also need to get the Q3 941 and TC941 that was created to be deleted so the correct ones can be created and filled out. This is the error message I get when I go to try to recreate the checks. Again, No forms or payment have been made. I plan to Use EFTPS through the IRS. Thanks,
Jason
Hope you're doing good, @jodekirk.
You'll need payroll correction. However, we'll need to gather some details from you to correct them properly.
We're unable to access your account and see the details of your payroll. In this case, I would recommend contacting our Payroll Support to help you correct them. This way, they can further check the correction securely.
You can also run some payroll reports in QuickBooks Online to get a quick view of your business finances and ensure your records are accurate. To achieve this, go to the Reports menu. Then, select the desired report from the Payroll section.
Please know that we're always here if you have other concerns. Take care and have a good one, jodekirk.
