I spent a significant amount of time updating the estimated labor cost by employee (adding labor loaders to allocate overhead costs to projects) to get a better idea of profitability and accuracy of my estimates (am I charging enough to cover job costs + overhead). Why can't QB project report on this data? All I can report on is actual labor cost, not extended or allocated cost. Further I should be able to extract this data en masse.
In my case I have 30-50 projects a year, 30+ employees and right now I have to extract all projects and manually add the extended labor cost,.project by project. This takes hours. The data is clearly in a table and a report just needs to be written to point to this data (when the system is using this functionality). Best case, would be the ability to choose whether you want to see your project data (overview, reports) at raw/actual cost or extended cost.
This seems so straight forward that I hope it is something I just haven't figured out how to do. If that is the case, much thanks to whoever can show me the way. If it is not available please advise any way I can assist in getting this functionality into production. Thank you.

Hi @GregMonty,
At this time, there are 3 reports available for any given project you have in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
These are:
Also, please take note that these reports are exclusive per project. A report that covers most or all your projects in QBO is unavailable at this point. If you want to have this specific feature become available in the next update, then feel free to submit feedback to our product developers.
You can do this by going through these steps:
In case you have other queries about the Projects feature, I suggest you keep this article for your reference: Projects FAQ. The usual questions about this feature are in this article, along with their answers.
You're always welcome to get back to me if you have any other questions about Projects or anything else about your QBO company. I'll be glad to assist you further.
Thanks Ryan, that is exactly what I feared. Current reporting is insufficient, and I will submit a ticket to development.
Greg
Consider having a project management app with more features to integrate with your QBO.
