QB PRO 2019 ERROR WITH EXCEL MS 365

Hello,

I have a couple of different issues with Excel and QB.  When I run a report in Excel format, it says "Your system nay not have enough memory to use Excel. Try again after closing some applications".   Then I click "OK" and it brings up the only option of creating a CSV file.  I can export to the CSV and then change to XLSX, but that is a pain in the neck.

Also, I can not directly email Excel reports from QB...I have the latest version of MS 365 Personal.  Any suggestions? My computer has plenty of memory so that is not the issue.

Thanks!  PattiB

QB PRO 2019 ERROR WITH EXCEL MS 365

Let me help you get past the error message, PattiB.

There are a few reasons why you're unable to export to Excel:

  • There's an issue with the report or the data itself.
  • QuickBooks versions and MS Office and are not compatible.
  • QuickBooks installations and MS Office are corrupted.

We recommend five steps to fix it:

  1. Update QuickBooks Desktop
  2. Check QuickBooks system requirements
  3. Repair Microsoft Office
  4. Toggle Windows User Account Controls (UAC)
  5. Reinstall QuickBooks

Also, these steps will help you with fixing the issue when emailing Excel reports.

I'll add the reference with the detailed steps to guide you better in fixing the issue: Fix export to Excel issues in QuickBooks Desktop.

QB PRO 2019 ERROR WITH EXCEL MS 365

Thanks so much Kristine...I have updated QB and Excel still did not let me email or change to an xlsx instead of a csv file.  I ran the MS update as instructed.  I'm getting an error code there, so I will investigate that.

I appreciate your help!  PattiB
