QBO incorrectly calculates the hrs x rate on invoices. 40 hrs x $191.03/hr = $7,641.22 instead of $7,641.20. This is not a rounding issue. Does anyone have a fix?

Hello there,@Foresight00.

There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed page resources, causing some unusual responses. Let's try logging into your QBO account using a private browser.

Here's how to use a private browser:

  • For Google Chrome: Press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox: Press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari: Press Command + Shift + N

If it the calculation is now correct, return to your default browser and perform a clear cache. Every so often the cache becomes overwhelmed with older data which can potentially cause viewing and performance issues. Clearing it will refresh the system, and you'll be able to work with a clean slate. You can also try using other supported browsers as an alternative.

You might want to visit our Income and expenses page, it provides topics that can help you navigate your account in QuickBooks.

I'd be happy to help you if there's anything else you need. Just let me know through the comment section below. Have a good one.

Thank you for the response Joesem.  I tried logging in using a private browser and also clearing the cache.  That actions did not fix the calculation.

Good day, Foresight00.

Let me help you in getting the correct invoice amount.

I created a timesheet and converted it into an invoice and I got the correct amount which is $7,641.20. I suggest deleting the invoice, then recreate it. From the Invoice page, click on More and select Delete. Also, make sure that the figures in the timesheet are correct.

If the same thing happens, please reach out to our Customer Support Team  They can check why there's a difference with your invoice.

  1. Go to Help and select Contact us.
  2. Enter Invoice in the question field and select Let's talk.
  3. Choose either Start messaging or Get a callback.

I'll always be here if you need anything else. Wishing you all the best!
