QBO: Is there a graph that will illustrate how much I invoice over a period of time on a project?

Hello there, borr.

Currently, generating a graph to illustrate your total invoices associated with a project is unavailable. However, I have the steps to get the information you need. Let me guide you how.

  1. Go to the Projects menu.
  2. Select the appropriate project.
  3. Choose the Transactions tab.
  4. Click the Filter drop-down.
  5. Select All Invoices as the Type.
  6. Set the date range.
  7. Click Apply.

Once done, view the total amounts in the Total column. See the screenshot below that shows the third to seventh steps.2 QBO Project.PNG

I can see how beneficial it is to view your project's total invoices through a graph. Since we're always looking for ways we can make QuickBooks better for all users, rest assured that I'll forward your feedback to our Product Development Team. They can consider this for future releases.

You can use projects to quickly calculate your project income and costs. To learn more about creating one, adding project income and expenses, kindly refer to this article for the detailed steps: Track income, costs, and profitability by project. It also contains information on how to calculate your payroll hourly time cost outside the system.

Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help.

QBO: Is there a graph that will illustrate how much I invoice over a period of time on a project?

Yes, actually there is, however, it's not called invoices, the line is called income. When you go to the lefthand side black toolbar and select the work projects. That brings you into the hub where you see the activity of all your projects. When you look at that screen the bar graph shows one line for income and another for cost. Your income line does show the total income made on the project. For you to see the invoices related to that income click into that project and you'll see several tabs one is overviews and that showcase an income column.  From this point on you get no graphs but that column you can interact with it by click on any income line to see what invoices make up that income. Or you can go into the transactions tab to see what invoices were created under that project too. Hope this information points you in the right direction.
