QBO - PDF File Attachments No Longer Working

Each week custom AR reports are scheduled for distribution via email in QBO in PDF attachment.  Over the last month each weekly automatic email is without the scheduled reports and instead contains an empty html file that reads "This report is too large to attach as a PDF. Please contact the sender and ask them to attach the report in Excel or change the date range or display columns to be less".   The file is no larger than it was the last cycle when the reports were sent properly.  Additionally when we invoice a customer and attach our own PDF record at the bottom of the invoice to be attached to the emailed invoice, it no longer attachs the pdf to the client invoice.  It now attaches as a "File" unrecognized by our clients.  Any suggestions?

QBO - PDF File Attachments No Longer Working

Hello there, @KEIMC2600,

I'd be glad to help you out! To view the report as a PDF, make sure the file size won't exceed 25 Mb. You can split the report if necessary.

Also, please turn on the Attach Invoice as PDF option in your settings so your clients can see the attached PDF file in their invoices.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Select the Gear Icon.
  2. Under Your Company, select Account and Settings (or Company Settings) and then select Sales.
  3. In the Online delivery section, select or uncheck PDF Attached.
  4. Click Save then Done at the bottom.
  5. Send your forms.

In addition, you can attach an Excel file in your report by:

  1. Go to the Business overview section and select Reports.
  2. Select Custom Reports.
  3. Find the report you'd like to schedule for email and in the Action column, select Edit ✎.
  4. Select Set email schedule to turn it on.
  5. Set the email recurrence based on your needs.
  6. Enter the email information for sending the report.
  7. If you want to send the report as an Excel file, select the Attach the report as an Excel file checkbox. Otherwise, the report is sent in HTML format.
  8. Select Save.
