Quickbooks Desktop Bill Payment Stub Template

Thanks Stephanie. That's a bunch of steps and DOES print the ref number so in a pinch it could be used. The problem is, it's by INVOICE rather than by CHECK. We need something that shows all the invoices one check is paying so our vendors (and us) can determine which invoices are being paid.

When will they update QBDT so we can modify ALL of the templates? I don't like the bill pay, or the payment receipt or the data that prints in the statements.

The response you will get from this is to report the issue / make suggestions to them.

The simple answer is NEVER. They are the worst.

I completely understand the urgency of modifying your templates, @WRI_2110. However, we don't have a specific timeline for when these modifications will be implemented in QuickBooks Desktop.

If you're interested on having this feature included in the software, I can help you send feedback to our Product Development team. They will consider your suggestions and may incorporate them into future updates.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Click on the Gear icon located in the upper right corner.
  3. From the Profile column, choose Feedback.
  4. Enter your comments or suggestions about the product.
  5. When you're done, click Next to submit your feedback.

You can track your suggestions on the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests page.

For assistance with customizing form templates in QuickBooks, here's a useful article: Use and customize form templates.

Additionally, Also, here’s a guide on how to generate and tailor reports to display specific information: Customize reports.

This original post was submitted nearly 3 and a half years ago. We've all been experiencing this ongoing issue. Your response is an absolute joke, just like Quickbooks.

It's a very simple problem, one that the developers at QB can't seem to fix. I could have learned coding to do it myself in the amount of time this issue has been presented. All we want to do is widen some columns...it's truly amazing QB and its developers are so terrible that they cannot handle that problem.

This has been discussed for almost 5 years now and QB does absolutely nothing about it.  DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH!!!

Well it's been 7 years now, and we have all submitted this issue and it's still not fixed. Does anyone look at what we submit?

No.  Intuit clearly is not interested in doing any further work on Desktop.  Their goal is to sunset it in favor of Online.  The Desktop software and underlying code are ancient and convoluted from work over the decades that they

A.  Can no longer make changes without breaking something else  -and-

B.  Won't spend the $$ and human resources on what they've deemed a lame duck application.

What they're not counting on is all of the competition who have been building modern, nimble and functional software to actually meet the needs of the small and mid-sized businesses.  These guys are listening and are responsive.  Everyone I know is dying to get out from under the behemoth that is QB.  Intuit is in for a huge reckoning in the next 24-36 months.
