I see the advantage of having the option to set up an approval process workflow for journal entries, @shegold19.
Currently, setting up an approval workflow for Journal Entry (JE) is not available in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), but only for bills and purchase orders. However, as a workaround, you can consider letting your admin make the JE or looking for third-party apps that best suit your needs.
Nevertheless, I see how important this feature is to you, so I'd recommend sending feedback to our product development team. They'll carefully review your idea and may consider it for future updates.
- Hover to the Help menu.
- Select the Send Feedback Online option.
- Choose the Product Suggestion and a pop-up window will appear.
- Type your feedback suggestion in the space provided.
- Click the Send Feedback button.
