QuickBooks Online Default Reports

I setup custom reports to generate, which works fine. My issue is that in QBO, when I try to view a sub-account report it reverts the reports in the default view.

The default view gives me the following columns:

Date, Transaction Type, Num, Name, Memo, Account, Split, Amount, and Balance

I would like like the report to have

Account, Date, Transaction Type, Num, Vendor, Memo, Amount, Debit, Credit, and Balance

Is there a setting to use my format?

QuickBooks Online Default Reports

Hi @Medexhco, thanks for taking the time to post your concern here.

Yes, you can have the format you want when viewing a subaccount report in QuickBooks Online (QBO). To change the default settings, you need to customize and reorder the columns.

I'll guide you on how:

  1. Open the report to view a subaccount.
  2. Click the Customize option.
  3. Scroll down to Rows/Columns, then click Change columns to see that column format.
  4. Under Select and reorder columns, check the boxes for the rows and columns you want to include in the report.
  5. Change the order of the rows/columns by hovering your mouse over one of them and dragging it up or down.
  6. Click Run report.

Once done. this is what the report looks like.

After customizing the report, I suggest saving the current settings by clicking Save Customization. That way, you won’t have to go through the customization process again in case you need the same information in the future.
