If I am not upcharging my clients for their wholesale Quickbooks products that are billed through my QB Online Accountant account are they an expense or Cost of Goods Sold?
For example, I am billed $35 for a clients QB account. I then bill them $35 for the subscription. Is the $35 a cogs and then the "reimbursement" a "sales of software" under income or should I just use a reimbursable account for both the expense and reimbursement.
To further this how do I enter a subscription that I pay on behalf of a client but do not bill them back for?
If it helps to know I am a bookkeeper aka service based business.
My P/L is attached to show how I am currently entering them. You can see that my cogs is higher because I pay for some of the subscriptions but don't bill my clients back for them.
