Is there a way to change the columns that come up when you are in the Account QuickReport window. We have been needing to add the Class column each time we review an account and it'd be helpful if it would automatically open.
Thanks,
I hope you're doing well, habsrule97.
I'll be glad to give insights about the report.
Changing the default columns on the Account QuickReport page is currently unavailable. However, you have the option to memorize the report and save the changes made on the columns. Please note that once you memorize a report, you will need to pull it up from the Reports > Memorized Reports menu instead of going to the Chart of Accounts.
Here's a sample screenshot of what it looks like:

Dear QBO, PLEASE consider making changes to the product to allow for default columns. I spend SO much unneccesary time formatting just so I can view it without all the extra junk I don't need. Specifically why on earth does anyone need to see the Account column, when you are already looking at the detail for that specific account?? It drives me crazy.
I get your point, Kelly.
I appreciate you for sharing your thoughts and opinion about modifying reports in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
We always value our users' points of view as this helps us enhance QuickBooks to fit their business needs. Thus, I encourage you to send your feedback to our Product Developer team. This way, they can review it and might consider adding this in the future updates. Let me show you how:
In the meantime, you can consider the workaround shared by my colleague above about memorizing your reports. This way, you can access your report anytime without going through the customization process again.
On the other hand, you can also look for a third-party app that has the feature you need. Just hover to the App Center or visit our QuickBooks Desktop Apps page for reference. Once you've found an app, select it, and click Get app now to link it to your QBDT.
Moreover, I'm attaching this link that can guide you on how to access your reports outside QuickBooks: Export reports as Excel workbooks in QuickBooks Desktop.
I'm all ears if you have any other concerns or suggestions about running your reports in QBDT. You're always welcome in the Community space. Have a good one and enjoy your weekend ahead!
