I am having trouble figuring out how to handle Raw Material Waste. A little background: We purchase granite chunks from a company, these then get shipped overseas to get turned into granite vases, once turned they get shipped back to us and get added into finished goods. We know that this is approx 10% waste in the granite chunks. What is the best way to handle and account for this waste??
