A vendor sent us an invoice, and only the "master admin" user received a notification email. How do we change or add email addresses to get notified of vendor invoices?

The notification was not sent to the email address in the general settings of Quickbooks Onine and I cannot find where else to check.

In QBO, the master admin has access to every feature in the company. They’re the only ones who can receive a notification email for vendor invoices. Also, billing reminders are sent to this user's email.


If the Master admin is no longer connected to the business, inform them to transfer the access rights to the correct user. Before proceeding, you'll have to ensure that the user is already added as a company admin. If not, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right and choose Manage Users under Your Company.
  2. Tap the Add user button to select Company Admin.
  3. Hit Next to continue.
  4. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Inform the user to check their email to accept the invitation. Once done, perform the recommended steps in this article: Change your QuickBooks Online master admin user.

 

However, if the employee has different access rights, all you have to do is edit it. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top and choose Manage Users under Your Company.
  2. From the list, click on the Edit link for the user you're working on.edit user.png
  3. On the Edit user settings page, click the User type drop-down and pick Admin.edit user.1.png
  4. Press the Save button.
  5. Let the worker log out and log back into the company to view the changes.
