Any suggestions for something other than Quickbooks? It's becoming unusable... raising prices while migrating the UI like it's designed for children.

Just need a solid accounting system that will manage invoicing, import bank and credit card transactions, and make tax time as easy as possible.

Do you still prefer to use a cloud based app like QB Online or QB Desktop?

I'd say QuickBooks Desktop is what you' need. It's a viable accounting system.

I have been having major issues with Quickbooks Desktop and Online for my clients and they all want me to find a new program.  They are small businesses and without paying for numerous plugins we are having to download everything into excel and enter an adjusting entry.

One of my clients has sales people all of the country.  Quickbooks Online told me they no longer support sales reps and that I should use locations. We are already using locations so this doesn't work. We download everything into excel to come up with commissions, total sales, cost of goods sold, inventory etc. for each sales person and at each location and do an adjusting entry.

Hi C in FL,

Thank you for posting here regarding the feature you need in the Online version. Allow me to chime in and share additional information about tracking sales reps in QuickBooks Online.

Aside from Locations, you can also use custom fields to include custom data in your transactions. However, you can only create up to three custom fields on sales forms if you have QuickBooks Online Plus and Essentials. Check out this article for more information about this feature: Add custom fields to sales forms and purchase orders in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, QuickBooks provides tools to create personalized and professional-looking invoices, estimates, and sales receipts. For additional guidance in managing sales forms, check out this link: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Please keep us posted anytime here in the Community space. We'll be sure to get back to you if you have more questions or concerns about the features in QBO. Take care.

You can use the custom field feature to record the sales rep in QBO. Why don't you switch back to QB Desktop to have the sales rep feature? Any other issue to abandon QB Desktop?
