Are there sales orders in qb online as there are in qb enterprise? To go from an estimate to a sales order.

Welcome to the Community, samantha2.

Let me share some insights about the sales order and estimate in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Currently, QBO doesn’t have sales order. Its closest transaction in QBO is an estimate. Once you’ve created an estimate you can convert it to an invoice.

Let me show you how:

To create an estimate:

  1. Click the Plus sign icon, then choose Estimate.
  2. Enter the needed details.
  3. Click Save.

To convert an estimate to an invoice:

  1. Open the estimate.
  2. Click the Create an invoice button.
  3. Update if needed.
  4. Click Save or Save and close.

You can find more information about estimates in these articles:

I've passed your suggestion to our Product Developers. I'll also invite you to share your thoughts and feedback to them. This is the quickest and most direct way to send improvements or comments to our system engineers. We're always updating QuickBooks Online and love to incorporate user’s ideas!

To do so, click the Gear icon and select Feedback.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm always glad to help if you have other questions while working in QBO. Enjoy your day.

Hi @stacey37,

I'm here to take care of your query regarding packing slips in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Follow the steps below on how you can generate and print a packing slip:

  1. Highlight the Sales tab.
  2. Select Customers.
  3. Choose the correct customer in question.
  4. From the Transaction List tab, tick the box next to each invoice or sales receipt for which you want to print a packing slip.
  5. Go to the Batch actions drop-down menu, then select Print packing slip.

In case you'd like to generate statements, see this article: Create and view customer statements. You'll find a list of common questions about statements at the bottom of the page, along with their answers.

I'll be around in case you have other questions. Place them in the comments below, and I'll be sure to get back to you.
