Thank you for reaching out with your question, @Athair84. In QuickBooks Desktop, you cannot directly match a credit card transaction to a purchase order (PO) through bank feeds. A purchase order is a non-posting transaction, meaning it does not affect your financial accounts until it has been converted into a bill or linked to a bill or item receipt.
However, we can convert your purchase order to a bill as soon as the items or services are received. Once the bill is created, we can then match the credit card transaction from your bank feeds to this bill.
Here's how to convert a purchase order to a bill:
- Go to the Vendors menu, select Receive Items and Enter Bill or Enter Bills.
- Use the Select PO button to choose the applicable purchase order, which QuickBooks will use to fill in the bill's details.
- After verifying the details, complete any other necessary fields like the bill date.
- Save the bill by clicking Save & Close.
Then, go to your bank feeds, find the credit card transaction and match it to the newly created bill.
