Join nowLet's update the hourly rate of the invoice, @jacobsenjenn.
You can go to the Invoices menu to update the new billing rate. On the right side of the invoice transaction, you'll see the Edit link that will enable you to update the Hourly rate.
Here's how:
Well done! I've also attached some articles which you can use if you wish to let your customers pay their invoices electronically and some FAQs about the product:
Keep in mind that you're always welcome to place a comment if you have additional questions about modifying your invoices. I'll check your reply in my notifications. Have a great weekend!
Thank you for your help. I guess I wasn't clear on what I was really asking. I am using the TIME beta and it has a set rate in it. I am having to go into each time entry to update the new cost which is time-consuming or when I go to the invoice and it brings over the time tracking I have to update each individual line item. Again very time-consuming. I want to know how to update the hourly rate in the time tracking in, QB Self-Employed, as there is no project of client section to be found. Thank you!
Hi @jacobsenjenn,
I appreciate you for providing clarification about your QuickBooks concern. Allow me to chime in and share additional details about the hourly rate in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
I'm glad to know you're part of the users running the beta testing of the new feature. I agree with you that the process of updating the new cost is time-consuming.
Right now, there is no other workaround aside from what you've mentioned. You'll need to make the changes manually from the time entry or the invoice.
While we continue to improve the new feature, I suggest sending your feedback to our product engineers. Your suggestions will help them with changes and updates for the Self-Employed version.
Please refer to this screenshot on how to submit feedback:
Additionally, I recommend visiting the following article to learn how to set up your invoice preferences in QuickBooks: Create invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Hi,
Where can I submit the suggestion to be able to modify the rates for a project, to modify a project name I already created, to modify the client name once it's created and so on. The self employed version doesn't really allow many modifications, making is difficult to navigate daily.
Thanks.
Good afternoon, @malky-data-gmail.
Thanks for joining in on this thread. I can provide some insight on sending feedback for your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.
There isn't a way to send feedback from your side. However, I can send it to our Product Developers so they can consider this in the near future. They take the time to review each request and try to add them to the next available update.
You can also check back in to keep up with what's new in the product by using our Blog site.
Feel free to come back for other questions or concerns. We're always here to have your back. Take care!
This is 2024 and this still is and issue. It seems the developers are very slow to develop new features. I was researching this and saw the last update was in 2022, 2 years ago.
Good evening, @SKL111.
I appreciate you hopping on this thread!
There isn't a specific date set on when this will be added in QuickBooks. However, I recommend review our blog site to keep up with what's new in the system.
I'm only a post away if you need me again. Take care!
