Can I create a report which shows both the estimate amount and the invoices against that estimate

Nice to have you here in the Community, @debbiesinger.

I hope you're having a great week so far. You can run a report that has estimates and progress invoices by customer. The report is called Estimates & Progress Invoicing Summary By Customer, and it shows the date, invoice number, status, amount, invoiced amount, % invoiced, and balance. At the top of the report, you can click Customize to filter by the customer and reorder the columns that are on the report.

I'm only a reply away if you have any other questions. Enjoy the rest of your week.

Can I create a report which shows both the estimate amount and the invoices against that estimate

thank you, the report does not show up on my reports tab, but if I type it in it pops up. The only downside is I am unable to sort by status. I want to produce a report to show only active estimates. Thank you that does help. Is there a list of reports that are available such as this one that does not show up under my reports tab?

Hi debbiesinger,

You can run the Estimates by Customer report and sort it by status so you'll know those estimates that are still active (pending). Let me walk you through how.

  1. Click Reports on the left menu.
  2. In the Search bar, type Estimates by Customer
  3. Click Customize on the upper-right corner.
  4. Click Filter.
  5. Tick the Estimate Status box, then click the drop-down arrow and select Pending.

  6. Click Run report.

Also, you'll have to enable certain settings in your Accounts and Settings page for the report to show up on your list.

For future reference, in case you want to print, email or export reports, here's an article for your guide: Run Reports In QuickBooks Online (QBO).
