Can I create an estimate/invoice from products page? I'm really wishing QB had that functionality. I'd like to select multiple products and just click "create invoice"

I'm an interior designer and therefore I'm going to have a very large inventory. When I go to add products to an invoice, there aren't even pictures to help me ensure that I'm selecting the right lamp or pillow, etc. There must be a better way.

Thanks for checking in with us, userallison.

Creating an estimate or invoice from the Products and Services pages is currently unavailable. You'll need to select + New and generate the transaction (Estimate or Invoicefrom there.

As a workaround, you can add a description to your inventories to help you choose and determine the right items.

Here's how:

  1. From the Products and Services screen, find the Inventory item and click Edit.

  2. Go to the Description box and enter a piece of information that will help you determine the product.
  3. Hit Save and close.

The Description will show when choosing the items on the invoice or estimate.

This sounds like a nice thing to have this option on the Products and Services page. I'll take note of this and add it to our list of ideas. While that feature isn’t currently in our development roadmap, we are working on big improvements that will be helpful for the majority of our customers, and you’ll see those rolling out soon through our QuickBooks Blog.

In case you need to help in changing the account of your items or product type, you can scan through this write-up: Change product and service item types in QuickBooks Online. Also, this will provide you steps on how to adjust your inventories in QuickBooks.

Keep me posted if you still need help concerning products and services or anything in QuickBooks. I'd love to help. Have a great rest of your day.
