Can I turn off the estimate acceptance feature?

In the past few days, we've been getting notices that various estimates were approved by our customers.  We would rather have them sign the pdf and return to us, as we've done in the past.    So, is there a way to turn that feature off?

Can I turn off the estimate acceptance feature?

Hello, Carey. I've got the information you needed about disabling the estimate acceptance feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Based on your verbatim, it appears that you're using the new layout experience to manage your estimates. Please know that in this format, the option to turn off the estimate acceptance feature is unavailable.

I see the significance of being able to manage which estimates are accepted. With that, I suggest submitting a product request to our engineering team so they can incorporate this functionality in the upcoming QBO updates.

To submit your request, please follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Gear icon at the top and select Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or suggestions related to the product.
  3. Click Next to send your feedback.

Alternatively, you can explore third-party applications that can assist you with this functionality. To search for one, follow these steps:

  1.  Log into your QBO account.
  2. Navigate to Apps and then select Find Apps.
  3. Utilize the search field or the Browse categories dropdown menu to locate an app.

Once a customer has accepted an estimate, you can convert it into an invoice and record their payment. For more information on this process, please refer to these articles:

If you have any further questions regarding the estimate acceptance feature, feel free to mention me in the comments and I'll gladly assist you.
