We can split the transaction in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). Record the first transaction as income and the other half as an expense.
I'd also recommend seeking assistance from your accountant so they can guide you in choosing the correct category. It will help your books be accurate.

I appreciate the reply. This doesn't really solve the issue I have. I don't exactly know how royalties are taxed percentage wise so it'd be a shot in the dark to split up the transaction. I'm assuming the answer to my question is no. I also don't have an accountant as that would defeat the purpose of having QuickBooks in the first place.
