Can we create mailing labels?

Welcome to the Community, wolson9579!

 

You have the option to create mailing labels by creating a packing slip. Let me show you how.

  1. From the left menu, click Sales, and select Customers.
  2. Select the customer's name to display a list of their transactions.
  3. From the Transaction List tab, select the box next to each invoice or sales receipt for which you want to print a packing slip.
  4. Click the Batch actions drop-down, then choose Print packing slip.
  5. The print preview screen will open so you can select printing options, preview, and print.

Can we create mailing labels?

You can customize the display format of your invoices. I can guide you on how to do it.

  1. Go to the Gear Icon.
  2. Select Custom Form Styles.
  3. Choose the invoice template you're using.
  4. Click the Edit link in the Action column.
  5. Select the Content tab.
  6. Scroll down to the bottom part of the page.
  7. Click the Custom Field link.
  8. Enter the names of the custom field.
  9. Click Save and Close.

If you're referring to printing a shipping label, currently this is available in QuickBooks Desktop. In the meantime, you can check out our supported third-party application from QuickBooks App Store.

 

To visit QuickBooks Online’s app centre, here’s how:

  1. Login to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to Apps from the menu tab.
  3. Type in the clue word of the specific app you're looking for.
  4. Click the magnifying glass to search.

Can we create mailing labels?

I am trying to print box labels,  So if the order is 6 boxes of 1000,  I would like to be able to print to a 6 up  label.   It looks like the only way to get this done is to buy a monthly add on

I am trying to create box labels, to go with the packing slip. Seems pretty basic.  If the invoice calls for 6 boxes with 500 units per box,  It would be helpful for the client to know how much is in each box and other information. Like 1 of 6, 2 of 6 ect. to print on a 6 up pre diecut label.  The only way to get this done is to buy a subscription to a 3rd party app.

That won't help me. I want to print mailing labels to be used for mailing christmas cards.  I could do this in quickbooks desktop.

Know that we recognize the significance of this feature, and I appreciate you for posting this here in the Community space, gary walsh.

 

The option to print mailing labels to be used for mailing Christmas cards is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). We can create mailing labels by creating a packing slip or mailing list using the contact list report. See this article for more information: How to create a mailing list using the Contact List report.

 

We see consumer feedback as an opportunity to improve the numerous features of our products. I'd recommend giving our engineers direct feedback for them to look into this suggestion and incorporate it into future updates. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Hit Feedback.
  3. Type in your recommendation in the Share your feedback field.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

You'll want to check for a third-party application that can help you with assigning products to inventory categories in bulk. Check out this link for a list of QuickBooks-compatible apps: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home/. We can also do it in QBO by following the steps below:

 

  1. Go to Apps on the left side menu.
  2. Search for the app in the Find apps to streamline your work field.
  3. Look for an app that supports the Batch feature.
