Can you deactivate several customers at one time

Hello there, @ecotecinsulation.

Yes, you can deactivate several customers at one time in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Let's utilize the Batch actions feature in the Customers tab to do this and help you manage your customer list accordingly.

QuickBooks make sure you can easily manage your customer list. Before doing so, please know that even if a customer is inactive, all their transactions will still be available on reports. To deactivate multiple customers, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Get paid & pay or the Sales menu, then Customers.
  2. Select the boxes beside the customers' names of all the ones you want to deactivate.
  3. Click the Batch actions dropdown ▼.
  4. Select Make inactive, then Yes to confirm. 80.PNG

Once you're done, there should be a "(deleted)" statement indicated beside the name of all your deactivated customers.

If you wish to know more about managing customers in QBO, you can refer to this article: Add and manage customers in QuickBooks Online.

Also, you may want to check out one of our Help pages as your reference to guide you in managing customers and your company's income using QBO: Sales and customers help for QuickBooks Online. It includes topics about processing payments, managing customer info, and customizing sales forms, to name a few.

Please know that I'm always here to help if you have other concerns about managing customers and income transactions in QBO. Take care, and I wish you continued success, @ecotecinsulation.
