Hello there, arnoldosapconstr.

I want to make sure you're able to get the information of your deleted estimate.

For now, we're unable to automatically restore it. What we can do is to manually recreate it. We can use the Audit Log in recovering the details needed to reinstate the deleted transaction.

To access the Audit Log:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under Tools, select Audit Log.
  3. Locate the estimate and click the View link under the History column.
  4. From there, you can re-enter the transaction using the information with its original transaction date.

To learn more details on how to restore deleted transactions, please check this article: Use the audit log to re-enter deleted transactions.

Using the information above, we'll surely recover the deleted estimate.

If you have any other questions, please let me know. I'll be here waiting to help you out. Have a great weekend!

the answer is NO!

you can not recover a estimate, invoice or anything else once deleted.

Recovery is a basic tool and quickbooks is way behind.

maybe update your program before raising the price again.

oh and get rid of the 3hr max timed out

i have lost more data due to that.

Auto save...it's a thing, been around a long time...use it.

You're right, @9667 1571

A deleted estimate can't be recovered. However, you can check your audit log to get the details of this transaction and recreate it based on the instructions that were provided by GlinetteC.

I can see that the Auto-save feature would be a great addition to the current features that we have. I'll be sure to take note of it and pass them to our Product Development team, so they'll consider it in the future enhancements of our Product.

You can visit the QuickBooks Blog to check for new updates and features that we have.

Please, PELASE create a RESTORE function! I have lost YEARS of work because I accidentally deleted an estimate instead of an invoice - your program is unforgiving! Now once I recreate the estimate it will show as UNBILLED even though all $15,000 have been billed to date. This is a NIGHTMARE. RECREATING an entry is not a fix, it's a band-aide at best.
