I can assist you with changing the status of your invoice, @jntcasey

The option to mark the invoice as unpaid is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). You can duplicate the paid invoice and then delete it as a workaround. Doing so will create an unpaid copy of the invoice and remove the paid one. Let me guide you how.

  1. Go to Invoices
  2. Look for the paid invoice and click the dropdown under the Action column.
  3. Select Duplicate, then Save the invoice.
  4. Navigate to Invoices again.
  5. Find the paid invoice and select the dropdown under the Action column.
  6. Click Delete.

I'd also recommend this article to help you manage your invoices effectively: Create invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

In case you want to create a new transaction from a receipt image, you can check out this article for guidance: Record or attach expense receipts in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

We're still ready to support you if you have other concerns besides changing the status of your invoice. Feel free to leave a reply. Stay safe!
