Chart of Accounts - Review one account over several years???? Unable??

Hello,

I want to see all the transactions under an account over several years.  The reports just show one year.  I want to see over several years.

I'm clicking "accounts" and it show all my accounts and sub accounts.  I choose the account I want and "account quick report" comes up.

If I choose just one year, then all the charges come up.  I would like to review several years at once.  How do I do that?

Here is a screen shot.  I blurred out the value.

Chart of Accounts - Review one account over several years???? Unable??

Hello there, jp55124.

I can help you an account run report and view transactions based on the data you need.

First, let's ensure that the system is updated to the latest release so new features and fixes will be downloaded and installed. Then, you can try pulling up an account report through the Custom Transaction Detail report instead of the QuickReport.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Reports click on Custom Transactions Detail report.
  2. Click Filters and put a checkmark on the Account.
  3. Select the account drop-down to choose Selected account and put a checkmark on the accounts that you want then click OK and Apply.
  4. Change the total by to Account List.

For more details on customizing your reports, you can click here.

Let me know how this works so I can walk you through from there. I'm just around to keep an eye on your reply. Take care!

I'm here to ensure you're able to view the complete data, jp55124.

To resolve this issue, let's run the Verify and Rebuild Data utility in the system. This tool scan data issues within the company file and self-resolves them.

Here's how:

  1. Go to File, then select Utilities and Rebuild Data.
  2. Choose OK. Follow the prompts to save a backup.
  3. Click OK once completed.
  4. Now, go back to File, then Utilities, and select Verify Data this time.

If QuickBooks detected no problem with your data, hit OK and pull up the report again to double-check. However, if it finds an issue, you will be prompted to Rebuild Now or View Errors.

  1. Click the File tab at the top menu.
  2. Select Utilities.
  3. Choose Rebuild Data.

That doesn't help.  I can only view one year at a time.  makes no sense.  How can I see my transactions on an account over several years?

Is it possible to get the detail for an Account, and also have a total for each year, say over a four year period?
