How do I completely delete this account? I had to get a new email for work so I need to make a new account.

Hi there, rab. I've got the steps to help you remove your account. 

 

If you're referring to deleting your Intuit account, please note that when we have a new email address, we can easily update it to avoid an extra process. 

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. Sign in to the Intuit Account Manager. Use your sign-in info for QuickBooks, TurboTax, Credit Karma, or our professional tax products.
  2. Select the Sign in & security menu.
  3. Choose the User IDEmail addressPassword, or Phone section.
  4. Make your changes.
  5. Once done, hit Save.

However, if you want to delete your Intuit account completely, follow these steps: 

 

  1. Sign in to the Intuit account manager
  2. Go to Data & privacy tab. 
  3. Choose the Delete section. 
  4. Select the tab. 
  5. Click Continue

Certainly, here are the steps to cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription, Corina.

 

The cancellation process depends on where you initially subscribed. If you subscribed through a mobile app store, you must cancel it via the app store.

 

For subscriptions purchased directly from Intuit online, follow these steps:

 

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as the primary or company admin.
  2. Go to Settings, then select Subscriptions and Billing.
  3. Find the product you wish to cancel, then select Cancel.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the cancellation. 

You’ll receive an email confirmation once your account is successfully canceled.

When canceling a QBO subscription, QuickBooks will provide the user with read-only access to the data for one year following the cancellation. After that, the application will automatically delete the data from the system.

 

Before we proceed, if you have access to your husband's account, we can export the data into an Excel file as a backup. Here’s how you can cancel the subscription:

 

  1. Sign in to the Intuit Account Manager.
  2. From there, go to the Products & billing tab.
  3. Select your company name, find the product you wish to cancel, then select Cancel.
  4. Choose why you're canceling your subscription from the choices. Once you’ve filled it out, select Continue to cancel.
  5. You’ll see a page detailing product benefits and the last day you'll be able to use your subscription. Select Continue to confirm the cancellation.
  6. A pop-up confirming your subscription is canceled will appear, then you can select Got it.

To begin, I recommend logging into the Intuit Account Manager page. It can let you double-check your active QuickBooks subscriptions.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Log in to the Intuit Account Manager page using your Intuit account credentials.
  2. Navigate to the Products & billing tab.
  3. If you have multiple accounts from the Your products list, review them.
  4. Once you've confirmed that one of the accounts on the list the list should be discontinued, click that account.
  5. Select Cancel and follow the on-screen cancelation process.

 

However, if you only have one active subscription but you're being charged more than your usual subscription payment, you can utilize the Lookup your charge tool. You can use this to check your billing and fee details or any discrepancies (if there are any). Another factor that could cause this situation to occur is if you have another Intuit account with active products and services. If this is not the case, you don't have another QuickBooks plan, and you weren't able to verify where the additional cost is coming from, I suggest contacting our Support Team.
