Creating a Last Sold report for inventory items

I believe there is a misunderstanding, or you did not read the post correctly.  I am needing this report in order to remove items PERMINANTLY from our inventory, both physically AND in QuickBooks, since they are just taking up space.  I am not doing this out of concern for hitting the max items in quickbooks itself.

Try running a Sales by Item Detail report, click 'Customize', under 'Columns', scroll down and check 'Entered/Last Modified', and click 'OK'.  See if that works for your needs.

I think you should consider an inventory system outside of QB.  For the price paid for QB, it is not capable of being the one and only solution for everything. I hope Rainflurry's input helps at the least. If you can get some meaningful data, you could also use Excel to do a lot of the work for you that QB cannot do.  I know your frustration as I have been there many times with QB, but....here we are still.

This is so close! It has the last modified date, but it combines it with every entry. If they could just pull the last modified date ONLY, it would be helpful. Customizing dates for this simply removes the transactions that have happened since, not the entire item. Doing a sales by item report for ours is showing 826 pages. We do a lot of transactions, so it's a mess. It's just SO CLOSE it's disappointing. I'm going to email myself an excel version of it and find some useful data validation or conditional formatting to try to get some answers. I'll share if I come up with anything useful.

Operations Monkey! Great! If you can't figure it out, I am sure there is a wiz kid near by that can! Excel is powerful.  Yes, keep us posted!
