After customizing a report, is there a way to tell which report it is?

Custom Reports

Welcome to the Community, @HeatherM3

Let me share some insights about customizing reports in QuickBooks Online.

Every time you customize a specific report, you need to save it for you to find it in the Custom Reports tab. The Custom Reports tab is where you can find your previous customized reports. If you saved your customized report, it can be found in the Custom Report tab.

Here's how you can find it:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Click the Custom Reports tab.
  3. Select your customized report, you can edit it, set a schedule, and add it to the management.

Furthermore, you can check this article as your guide in exporting reports: Export your Reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have more questions about reports and other QuickBooks-related concerns. I'll be here to lend a helping hand. Have a good one!

Custom Reports

Thank you for the information on the custom reports.  What I'm looking for is once a report is modified, can you tell what the original report was?

Thanks for your prompt reply, @HeatherM3. We're here to share information about your concern, knowing the original report once it's modified in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

We understand the importance of having the option to know the original report once it's customized. However, it is currently unavailable. With that, we recommend sending feedback to our Product Development Team to study this feature and may add this to future enhancements.

Please know that all recommendations and opinions from our valued customers are greatly appreciated.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Then, click Next to submit feedback.

You can visit our QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website to track the status of your submitted feedback.
