At this time, giving a customer credit limit hasn't been added to QuickBooks Online (QBO). I can see how important having a customer limit is for your setup with QBO, so I’ll take note of it.

As a workaround, you may consider checking a third-party app that works well with QBO that can set a credit limit. You can look for a third-party app from our QBO App Center. Just choose the right application that suits your business.

QBs had the option to enter the amount of credit given to each customer, but I haven't seen that in years!
Guess they thought it wasn't needed and removed that option. Sad. BRING IT BACK!

Currently, there isn't a way to set a credit limit for your customers in QuickBooks Online (QBO). However, you can utilize the Notes field to indicate it on your customer's profile. Here's how:

There appears to be a credit limit field on the customer profile, under additional information. That said, I cant seem to field the field to pull into reports.

You're right about being able to establish a credit limit for a customer within the customer's profile. But as of now, QuickBooks Online (QBO) doesn't have the ability to generate a report specifically showing each customer's credit limit.
However, you can consider documenting the credit limit in the Notes and attachments section in the customer’s profile.
Subsequently, you can run the Customer Contact List report, which will include these notes, thereby providing visibility into each customer’s credit limit.
