I agree with this and am in the same boat! This is a nightmare not being able to assign an exact address to the building site for the individual projects of a builder. If you could just enter a different address on each project under the builder name then problem would be solved. SMH

When you do this does the project still show under your customer? I have to pull reports to show how much a builder/customer owes for each project and I am wondering if all projects will still show under the builder/customer so that I have a grand total of what that builder/customer owes for the total of each project grouped together as a grand total. Please help!

Right on! I guess this means that there is no solution at this point. What a bummer and it seems like QBO is not set up for contractors at all like their QB desktop contractor addition. They really need to set up a QBO contractor edition as they did on the desktop.

Hello there. I understand you need to see the total of all customers with projects in Quick Books Online. Let me share more information about this matter.

Assigning multiple projects to one customer is unavailable in QuickBooks Online. This feature is available in QuickBooks Desktop as we can only have one customer per project in QuickBooks Online.

Alternatively, we can export the projects to an Excel file and combine the amount within the spreadsheet.

Let me know if you have concerns.

2024 and this is still an issue. Wow looking for other accounting platforms now.

A nightmare indeed! We are a pool builder and build many pools for a particular home builder. We list each job under the builder by lot number and subdivision. We are entering the address on the same line right after the said lot number and subdivision. Sometimes we only have room for the street address and not the city, state and zip code, but at least it's something. Hope this helps and good luck! I know I need it with this generic program!

I don't understand how QB desktop can offer this feature but QBO can not.

I would subscribe to qb desktop but i've read it will be discontinued.

Being able to have a customer with Multiple project locations underneath their account, and the ability to add notes to the specific locations would be a huge game changer in QBO for our company. I hope it is something that is seriously considered as we would love to be solely QBO but we just cant at this moment because of this crucial missing feature

I deeply value the significance of having multiple project locations for you and your business, hannahkt97.

Adding multiple project locations to one customer is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I highly recommend sending your feedback to our product developers so they can consider including it in future product updates.

Here's how:

1. Select the Gear icon, then choose Feedback.

2. Enter your comments or product suggestions.

3. Select Next to submit.
