"Description" column has jumped formatting. Only 12-13 characters per line. Description looks like a List versus a description. It was OK for years! What happened?

Hi there, kandy-faulk.

Thanks for letting us know. I'm here to help and guide you on how to correct the Description line in a standard format.

You'll need to customize the Invoice template and adjust the Labels and Widths to correct the description column. Let me walk you through the steps:

  1. Click the Gear Icon
  2. Choose Custom From Styles.
  3. Click the drop-down arrow under New Style, and select Invoice
  4. Select Content in between Design and Emails
  5. Click the pencils on the right to edit each section.
  6. Click the Edit Labels and Widths
  7. Put a check mark on the Description option.
  8. Make the necessary changes.
  9. Select Done

If you need further assistance with the steps, I encourage you to contact with our QuickBooks Online Support Team. They have additional tools to pull up your account and do a screen share.
