Did QuickBooks recently auto-enable PayPal transactions for all invoices as a default?

Hi there, @ccherrin.

I'll share some details about the ACH payment method through QBO payments.

If you have a payments subscription, QuickBooks Online (QBO) will automate the process of receiving payments from your clients who use PayPal and other ACH payment methods to pay their invoices. It is important to note that QuickBooks has not recently auto-enabled PayPal transactions for all invoices as a default. However, it does have existing features that automate the process of recording PayPal transactions.

Additionally, let me share this article that will guide you on how to customize an invoice in QBO: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

I'd be glad to get back to you promptly if you have further questions about your payment method. The Community is available 24/7. Have a great day!

Thanks for the reply, but that IS NOT what I asked about...I am asking if QuickBooks enabled PayPal payments as a default setting for invoices.  I did not enable this feature, but shortly after QuickBooks was touting new PayPal functionality (in October), my customers were suddenly able to make payments via PayPal.  What is the answer to that specific question?

I appreciate you for providing more detailed information about your concern, ccherrin.

With the current updates, once your QuickBooks payments account is approved, you'll be able to process bank transfers/ACH, PayPal, Venmo, and credit cards. Please know that QuickBooks enables all payment methods as a default invoice setting.

If you don't want your customer to pay you via PayPal, make sure to untick the cards in the Online payments. Turning this off will also affect all credit card payments.

Another way to turn this off:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Account and Settings
  2. Choose Sales, and click Invoice payments
  3. Untick the Accept Credit Cards, then click Save

You can contact our customer care support team to know more about these changes, including its payment method. They have the experience and information to ensure your concerns are addressed thoroughly.

Moreover, QuickBooks Online allows you to void and refund customer payments, ensuring accurate accounting.

You can return to this thread for further clarification regarding PayPal or payment methods. Just tap the reply button to enter your response. I'm always here to back you up.

Wow, I hope I never actually need help from this forum...both of these responses are ridiculous!  Are you guys are intentionally avoiding my question?
