Does anyone know if you are able to create estimates and remove the total column from being visible when sending an email to a customer?

I can see how the benefit of being able to remove the total column from being visible when emailing estimates to a customer would aid you in running your business with QuickBooks Online (QBO) @jammacbeth-gmail. That's why I'm here to share a few details about this.

For the time being, creating estimates and removing the total column from being visible when sending an email to a customer isn't an option. However, you can customize your form and remove the Amount column. This way, the total amount of your items won't be displayed when creating your estimate and sending one to your customers. To do this, here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Custom form styles.
  2. Find your estimate template and click Edit under the Action column.
  3. In the Design tab, select the Change up the template option and select Airy new83.PNG
  4. Go to the Content tab, select the Table section, and uncheck the Amount column.
  5. Click Done84.PNG

Once you're done, make sure to use the customized estimate template when creating your transaction (or making it the default form) to send only the data you want your customer to see. Please refer to the screenshots below for your reference.

To learn more about personalizing your sales forms in QBO, please refer to this article: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, once your customer accepts your estimate, you can convert it directly into an invoice. When you do so, the estimate and invoice are linked, which keeps your books accurate. For more details about this process, you can check out this article: Convert an estimate into an invoice in QuickBooks Online.

Please keep me posted on how it goes in the comments below. Let me know if you have other concerns about customizing and emailing your estimates in QBO. I'm always around to help. Stay safe and take care, @jammacbeth-gmail.
