Does Quickbooks have estimating software and if so is it useful for construction industry?

Yes. We have an Estimate feature, mcmremodel-gmail.

 

This allows you to give your customer a quote or a proposal as a negotiation for the work you plan to do. When you're ready to bill your customer, you can create an invoice out of their estimate.

 

However, if you want to search for a third-party application integrated with QuickBooks, you can look for one through the Apps tab. The, click the Browse category button.

I'll barge in and share some details about the estimates feature in QuickBooks. 

 

Yes, all QuickBooks Desktop versions have the estimate feature. If you're planning to install or use any of the versions, you can simply go to the Customers menu then select Create Estimates

 

Here's what the menu selection looks like in the program:
