We moved from DT to QBO 6 months ago and while I can see all my deposits which come from our customers (donors) they will not show up in any report that I can figure out. The other problem I see is many of our deposits are splits in which they are a received from or a payee for a single deposit. Is there a transaction type report that allows me to list customer (they do show up in the customer list) to these deposits? Also, how do I get these deposits to associate with the customer when you look at the customer list.? Thanks
I'm here to help you run a report for all deposits assigned to your customers, @bmcc1200.
You can access the Deposit Detail report, which displays specific transactions and linked invoices and payments. Let me guide you how.
Also, you can open the Transaction List by Customer report. This displays all the charges for a customer. To do so, you can follow these steps:
Currently, the option to view customer deposits in the customer list is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). To see a customer's deposits, go to their profile and filter the transaction type to all plus deposits.
In case you want to print deposit slips, you can check out this article for more guidance: Set up and print deposit slips.

You've discovered some of the many report limitations in QB Online compared to QB Desktop. You've essentially moved from a Rolls Royce to a Chevy.
QuickBooks online won't create proper donor statements. Instead, try our BRC Donor Statements - QB Online , which uses several QB Online reports, exported to Excel, to create proper statements for you with no additional data entry.
It will include data from sales like invoices and sales receipts, as well as details from your deposits, and allocate them to each donor.
It features a 30-day free trial so you can try before you buy. You can download and install it using the link above.

From the left navigation panel, open the Reports menu. In the Find report by name search bar, enter Deposit Detail and click on it. [Bob:] this seem to have the most promise,
But I need to eliminate the second line with check number. Is there a way to do that. From there I can push it to excel and do a pivot table. I suppose I don’t need to tell you how nice the summary reports are in desktop.
Also, you can open the Transaction List by Customer report. This displays all the charges for a customer. To do so, you can follow these steps:
Go to Reports. Type and select Transaction List by Report in the Find report by name field. [Bob:] This also has promise. I got it to one lone, but there is no way I could see to add customer name as one of the columns. Is there a way? Is there an API I can buy to get to the SQL?
Currently, the option to view customer deposits in the customer list is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). To see a customer's deposits, go to their profile and filter the transaction type to all plus deposits. [Bob:] No practical for what I need.
Pull up the Sales menu. Go to the Customers tab. Select a customer. In the Transaction list tab, click the Type dropdown and choose All plus deposits. [Bob:] Not practical and to boot the deposits are not associated it this report with my customers. I think it is because so many deposits are made together and the deposit become a split. Serious deficiency in QBO! Thanks again for reaching out. Hope you have some more answers

Thank you for the detailed explanation. I understand the importance of resolving your issue concerning running a report for all deposits assigned to your customers, and I am here to provide some insights.
The ability to eliminate the second line with the check number in the Deposit Detail Report, and also adding the customer's name as one of the columns in the Transaction List Report is not yet available in QuickBooks Online. As a workaround, you can export the reports and manually edit them according to your preferences.
Moreover, regarding your concern about purchasing SQL in API, we have a platform dedicated to addressing API-related concerns. Here is an article that offers solutions. I suggest contacting Intuit Development Support for further assistance, as they can guide the necessary steps and actions.
