Welcome to the Community,  @LAtkins.

Let me guide you on changing the revenue account for a particular transaction in the previous year.

If you want to change the revenue account of the deposited invoice payment from your customer, it's important to know what particular item(s) are being sold in that transaction.

Then, change its Income Account in the Products and Services section. Here's how:

  1. Select Products and Services from the Sales section.
  2. Find the item(s) that you see in the transaction. Then, click the Edit icon below the Action column.
  3. Go to the Income account field, and change it to your desired revenue account.
  4. Once done, click Save and Close.

After that, you can run a Profit and Loss report with the specific year to see the changes.

If it's a manual deposit in QuickBooks Online (QBO), you'll want to go to Chart of Accounts (COA). Then, find the transaction from the current revenue account and run a report there.

Feel free to follow the steps below:

  1. Select Chart of Accounts from the Transactions tab.
  2. Look for the current revenue account where the transactions you want to edit are located.
  3. Once you find it, click Run Report.
  4. Customize the Report period into 2023.
  5. After that, go to the Filter section. Then, select Transaction type in the Account field and Deposit in the third field.
  6. Find the deposited transactions in the report and double-click it.
  7. Go to the Add funds to this deposit section and change the transaction account in the Account field to your desired one.
  8. Once done, click Save and close.

I also recommend contacting your accountant since you're dealing with past-year transactions that can affect your book balance.

If you want to learn how to save the current modifications of your report for future use, you can read this article: Memorized Reports.
