Edition numbers for invoice with multiple line items.

Edition numbers are an integral aspect of the products I sell (bronze sculpture). QuickBooks seems to allow the "edition number" field in the header, and it can be used in reporting. The problem I have is when a client purchases multiple items, with multiple edition numbers. As is, I am unable to do effective reporting on the multiple line items in the same invoice. Is there any way to assign a reportable edition number to individual line items?

Yes, there’s a way to assign a reportable edition number to individual line items. All you have to do is run the Custom Transaction Detail Report.

Here’s how:

Go to the Reports menu at the top to choose Custom Reports and Transaction Detail.
Tap the Display tab to choose the Edition # column or Other 1 or 2.
Choose the data you want to add to the report by going to the Display or Filters tab.
Hit OK to view the changes.
