My 'Favorite Reports' list got rearranged, and this isn't the first time it's happened. I painstakingly arrange this so that reports are where I want them for quick access. Quite annoying and time-consuming to have to keep doing this. They have now rearranged according to the folder they are in. I suppose I can put them all in one folder, and I will, but then I have to remember that they are in my 'QuickBooks Likes to Mess With Me' folder and not in the logical folder they belong in, such as Payroll, Jobs, Customers, etc.
Just kidding, I won't name the folder that, but i would very much appreciate if the reports do not auto-rearrange. It's not as handy to arrange reports within the folders of the Memorized Reports list as it used to be, either. If I'm doing something stupid to cause this, I'll appreciate any information so that I can myself quit being stupid. =)
I can share some information that can help you fix the error you're having with your reports, @jj46627.
There may be some minor data issues with your company file that's why your reports got rearranged. Try running the Rebuild and Verify Utility tool to fix possible data damage on your company file.
Please follow the steps below:
If you still get the same issue, let's try running the QuickBooks File Doctor to fix common issues.
I'm adding this article for more troubleshooting steps: Fix data damage on your QuickBooks Desktop company file.
You can also refer to this article about creating, accessing, and modifying memorized reports for your reference: Create, access and modify memorized reports.
If there's anything that I can help with your reports, please let me know. I want to make sure everything is taken care of for you. Stay safe and have a great day!
Thank you MaryJoyD!!
Super speedy response!!
I will try these things. Recently when I did a backup, we did seem to have an issue, as it made me do a rebuild. It seems to have fixed itself, because I'm not getting that message now. There could be residual problems though.
