Generating a Total Order Report

I would like to generate a report showing total sales receipts per month. I do not need to see receipt and items sold or the customer but if that shows it is ok. I really just need the numbers. Is there a way to generate this?

Thank you.

Generating a Total Order Report

Glad you visited the Community for QuickBooks, @ovtnvw.

I can definitely assist you with getting the sales report in a QuickBooks for Mac company file. You can pick any sales or transaction reports in the program, and customize it with the filters you need.

Here's how to do that:

  1. Go to the Reports menu and then Report Center.
  2. Make sure to use the correct date to display the data accurately.
  3. Double-click any sales or customer transaction list report from the list.
  4. From the Report window, select Customize.
  5. Tap the Filters tab.
  6. Mark the checkbox next to the filter you want to use.
  7. Scroll, or use the search field, to find the specific filters. Example: Transaction Type.

I'll be leaving some related links for QuickBooks Desktop Mac reporting for additional reference:

If you need further assistance with the report customizations, please post here again. I'll be right here to help you any time. All the best!

Generating a Total Order Report

HI Jen_D and thanks for your reply. I have been able to create reports however what I am getting is sales by item, the quantity sold of each inventory item for the selected period. What I am trying to determine is a history of the number of sales receipts per month. Not sure if I misunderstood your answer.

Thanks,

Michael
