How can I add a description column in products and services, such as Unit of Measure? I need to differentiate between sqft, linear feet, etc.

I can see how the option to add a description column in products and services can benefit you and others. However, the ability to set, add, or edit a unit of measurement in QuickBooks Online is unavailable.

The Units of Measure feature is only available in the QuickBooks Desktop version at this time. With this, I’d suggest sending feedback request to our product development team.

Here’s how:

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Under the Profile column, click on Feedback.
3. Share your feedback. Then, click Next.

As a workaround, you can differentiate the measures by adding them on the description section. From there, you can enter sqft, linear feet, etc.
