Hi @jennifer-omegate , thank you have posted in quickbooks community.
You could download or capture the receipt, then attach it.
Please take note that you can't add the receipt directly on the Banking tab. You'd have to add it to your Attachments list first before you can use it on the transactions.
Here's how:
Nice to assist you.
thank you for your reply. can i select a receipt already in my receipts list in QB to attach to the banking transaction instead of uploading one from my camera roll/computer?
Thank you for your reply! Can I choose a receipt I have already uploaded into my receipts tab on the bank transactions instead of uploading one from my camera roll/computer? I have already uploaded all of our receipts into the receipts tab. I just want to match the ones that did not automatically match when uploaded to their transactions. Is that possible or do I need to delete all of the ones that didn't auto-match & manually figure out which goes to each banking transaction and upload one at a time? Thanks again!
I'd be happy to assist you with your concern today, @jennifer-omegate.
QuickBooks Online (QBO) reads the receipts, extracts information, and automatically matches a transaction. If the system fails to auto-match the entry, you'll need to do it manually.
In your case, you'll need to delete the receipts that were not matched automatically and upload them again one at a time. This way, you can manually match it to the right transaction.
To delete them, just go to the Receipts page and look for the transactions that need to be eliminated, and hit on Delete. Please see the screenshot attached for your reference:
Once done, you can start uploading them again.
I've got an article made available so you'll become more familiar with managing receipts in QuickBooks: Capture and categorize receipts in the Receipts tab.
I'll be right here if you need with anything about QuickBooks. Wish you all the best.
Yet another BS workaround to compensate for poorly functioning software. It has been over a year since this post and it is still a problem, yet you act like it is no big deal. QB acts like this is some big improvement in efficiency New! Receipt Capture in QuickBooks Online Drives Efficiencyhttps://www.cpapracticeadvisor.com › spon... .
How is this efficient if I spend my time uploading receipts, only to have to pick through the ones that didn't match, go pick through my receipt folder to find the corresponding receipts, and upload them again? It's not efficient if you have to do it twice. IT IS A PROBLEM, so go report it to your bosses so they can get it fixed.
