How do I convert a purchase order to an invoice?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. Converting a Purchase Order to an Invoice is not possible in QuickBooks Online. You can either convert your Purchase Order to a Bill or Add a Purchase Order to an Expense. 

As a workaround, you can create a billable expense and link it to an invoice. Here's how:

1. Click the Plus icon.
2. Choose Purchase Order.
3. Enter the necessary information.
4. On the Item details field, select the items and make sure to add the customer.
5. Press Save and close. 

After that, add the billable transaction when you create an invoice. In case you haven't enabled the billable expenses feature, follow the steps in this article: Enter billable expenses. 

Note that recording billable expense is only available in QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced.  

Also, you can use a third-party application to help you convert your purchase orders to an invoice. Here's you can find the available apps: QuickBooks Apps.
