My Accounts Receivable on the Balance Sheet is not equal to my A/R Summary Report. There has been the same amount of discrepancy for many years. Is there a way to adjust the A/R report to match the Balance Sheet A/R account? Thanks.
Hi JanetV. Thanks for reaching out to the community. Sometimes if either the balance sheet or the A/R report are not on the same accounting type. To check, open them both and ensure both are set to the Accrual radial button. Let me know if this helps. Have a great day.
Thanks for your reply. I'm using QB Online. The Balance Sheet is accrual basis. The A/R report doesn't appear to offer a choice of accounting type. I've been doing some deep digging. Any help is appreciated.

I find no Accrual radial button on the A/R reports, only on the Balance Sheet

The reason why you’re unable to see the option in the Accounts Receivable reports is that these reports display the transactions affecting the A/R account.
Also, accounts receivable aging reports in QBO give you an overview of your customers' outstanding balances, who are falling behind on their payments, how much is still due, and how long they’re past due.
